I read voraciously, adore playing Bridge, love listening to Radio 4, enjoy music from modern to classical, and keep a range of small animals as pets.
I earn my living by teaching privately, and when not working, I lead a charity called Porridge and Rice with a committee, all of whom are volunteers.
Ken Surridge
Porridge and Rice combats poverty in the Nairobi slums, home to some of the poorest people in the world, by enabling pupils at partner schools to obtain a sound education.
PaR Events 2019
I chair the charity Porridge and Rice which is run entirely by volunteers who knit hedgehogs, crochet mice, collect at stations, make samosas, grow geraniums, and much more, all to raise money to support people living in the slums of Nairobi. The charity is always looking for volunteers.If you are interested in helping please email your details and someone will contact you to discuss.
